This AGCO-approved training program is designed for Ontario retail workers involved in the sale, service, or delivery of alcohol. Whether you're working in a grocery store, convenience store, offsite winery retail store, or offering delivery services, this course gives you the essential knowledge to stay compliant with Ontario’s laws and sell liquor responsibly.

The course includes four self-paced modules covering liquor licensing, AGCO regulations, retail license holder activities, and responsible sales practices. You’ll explore topics like age verification, identifying signs of intoxication, refusal techniques, and advertising restrictions. A 10-question practice quiz and a 20-question final exam ensure you're prepared for the legal responsibilities of selling alcohol. A passing grade of 80% is required, with two exam attempts permitted (per AGCO regulations).

Course difficulty is appropriate for all learners and takes approximately 2 hours to complete. Our alcohol sales certification is fully compatible with desktop, mobile, and tablet devices. Upon successful completion, you’ll receive liquor certification that meets Ontario’s regulatory requirements.

When will I get my alcohol handling certification after finishing the course?

As soon as you pass the final exam, you’ll be able to download and print your official certificate right away. You can use it immediately to show your employer or include it in job applications.

What happens if I fail the final exam?

You’ll have two attempts to pass the liquor staff training final exam, as required by the AGCO. If you don’t pass after two tries, you’ll need to re-purchase the course to try again.
