The Prince Edward Island Food Premises Regulation details requirements that a food establishment must follow to ensure prevention of health hazards and the protection of public health. The regulation  lists requirements regarding temperature control, maintenance, employee health & hygiene, cleaning & sanitizing, standards for equipment as well as record keeping tasks.

Like most Provinces the Prince Edward Island Food Premises Regulation lists food handler training requirements as part of the regulation.

Sample Certificate & Wallet Card

The license holder for any PEI licensed food premises serving food is required to have successfully completed an approved food safety training program. In the license holder’s absence, at least one employee who is present in the food preparation area is required to have successfully completed an approved food safety training program.
